Neil S. Plakcy
author : Neil S. PlakcyI've always been a reader, particularly of mysteries and romance. As a teenager I worked my way through my parents' collection of Erle Stanley Gardner and Agatha Christie mysteries, leading me to all the other classic authors. My mother was an avid Harlequin reader, and I devoured a lot of those, too, as well as lots of British cozy books like the village stories of Miss Read.\n\nThose tastes have carried through to my own writing. My golden retriever mysteries, inspired by my goldens, Samwise, Brody and Griffin, are cozy small-town books, often with an academic background. I also write some harder-edged mysteries like the Mahu series, about an openly gay homicide detective in Honolulu, and the Angus Green FBI thrillers. \n\nI've also written many M/M romances, including my Have Body, Will Guard series, which mixes romance with adventure and foreign travel. The first of those, Three Wrong Turns in the Desert, is still one of my favorite books.\n\nI've written and edited many other books as well; details can be found at my website, http://www.mahubooks.com. My partner and I live in South Florida with Brody and Griffin, who are always getting into mischief that inspires me. You can usually find me writing at my local Starbucks. View more >>Neil S.
